Sock yarn is the basic building block of my stash. Currenly there is enough sock yarn to make 41 pairs of socks and that's just the yarn I consider "sock yarn" not fingering or DK weight that would be suitable for another purpose.
I suppose my goal this year should be to get that number down enough yarn to make 10 pairs of socks just so that I have an excuse to stock up next year. The 2010 wish list is full of Madeline Tosh, Shibui, Socks that Rock, Indigo Moon, Tanis Fiber Arts sock...
