Queen of the Earth Scarf

I like to be the first to knit a pattern even though there are sometimes errata as in this scarf pattern. Luckily I mentioned it at the LYS where I bought the pattern and they gave me replacement charts.

This scarf is begun by crocheting a provisional cast on (not my favourite way to begin) and knitting one side then picking up the cast on stitches and knitting the pattern again so the scarf is like a reflection. It's pretty but I messed up the picked up stitches and it looks like there is a row missing. Oh well, no one knows except me. If I were giving this scarf to someone the mistake would bother me but I don't mind wearing imperfect garments myself. I did Elizabeth Zimmermann's sewn bind-off because the end of the scarf is knit in garter stitch. It looks a bit uneven but hopefully it will block out.

The yarn is Plymouth Earth Ecco Cashmere (I think I got that right) which I purchased at the Purple Purl during the 2008 Knitters' Fair.
